Strawberry Pie


Ingredients
 1 9 inch pie crush baked
1 quart fresh stawberries
1 c white sugar
3 T cornstarch
3/4 c water


Directions.
  1. Arrange half of the strawberries in a baked pie crust.  Mash remaining berries  and combine with sugar  in a saucepan.  Place over medium heat and bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  2. In a small bowl whish together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir conrstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture.  
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until mixture is thickened. About 10 minutes.  Stir constantly.
  4. Pour mixture over berries in the pie shell. 
  5. Chill for several hours before serving
  6. Serve with Cool Whip or Whipped Cream
