Hot Milk Cake

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp lemon
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup hot milk
1 stick butter

Beat eggs and sugar until well blended, add vanilla and lemon.
Add flour baking powder and salt, blend well
Heat milk and butter  in pan until it is hot but not boiling.
Add this last to sugar/flour mixture.
Stir well
Bake 375 degrees  in tube pan for 45 minutes or until done.

Glaze top if desire/
This cake is good to serve with fruit.
